I've always been curious. Why do people use a texture for an entire screen?
I thought it would be more effective and less gimmicky if you just used it for specific objects rather than the whole screen.

I thought it would be more effective and less gimmicky if you just used it for specific objects rather than the whole screen.
I only recently started using textures for flash and, i must say, i think they look pretty decent when done right. For instance, in this project, the whole animation looks slightly bland when i remove the overlay parchment textrue - it may be personal preference. However, thanks for the suggestion and i'll try and add a texture to one thing only as a test :)
